So people are always so quick to say "actions speak louder than words". I think that's only true some of the time. I think that's how people get confused or end up in confusing situations. I'm speaking more in the sense of relationships or in the more popular situationships.
If a guy tells you he doesn't want to be in a relationship, nothing he does after that means that he's changed his mind. Until he TELLS you he's changed his mind, assume that nothing's changed. That's where we go wrong. "Oh he did [insert boyfriend-like action here] so that means he wants to be my boyfriend" Nope. That means you fall while he doesn't and you end up being the one hurt in the end. And when you confront him about all of his boyfriend-like actions, he's going to refer to his initial statement that went something like this "I'm just not in the place to be in a relationship right now". It's tough because it's so easy to fall for a person that's fulfilling most of your relationship needs. He's talking to you all day, he asks about your day, he's protective of you, he gives you advice, he fucks you real good, he goes out with you, and he may even introduce you to friends and family. All these actions mean nothing without the words. Don't get caught up. Don't be blindsided. Don't set yourself up.
