Throwback SUNDAY!!

2/5/2017

When I was in middle school, I used to write. I'll share a piece I wrote circa 2005. I was in 8th grade! I will not make any corrections so please expect some really gross grammatical errors.

"Crush"
I have a lo of experience with the word crush. I've had millions of crushes in my 14 years of life. There is 3 specific things I hate about crushing...
  • It's a secret because you're too scared to tell
  • You have to put up with him/her flirting with other people
  • You get weird urges that you can do nothing about
I had this one crush where my crush liked my friend. I was forced to be in the middle of everything that happened between the two because I was responsible for their meeting. I just watched them laugh and play and have fun together. It seemed to me like he hated me. He only talked to me to get to her. He would try to kiss her, he'd call her every night, he'd sit next to her, buy her stuff, hug her at the end of the day, all while I watched. I had a lot of experiences like this. I think it's a curse. Anyway, he knew liked him but he just ignored that fact. Here is a list of common things that are very stupid that people do when they like someone...
  • You compliment him/her when they don't deserve it
  • You get mad when they stop messing with you even though you know you don't like it
  • You take up for them when they're in deep trouble even though they wouldn't do the same for you
  • You cry over him/her
  • You expect too much from your crush
  • Give your crush money or other things that you value
  • When your crush is mad at you, you take it seriously
  • When they play you in front of others, you laugh it off like it's nothing
  • You look forward to seeing him/her everyday just so they can see you and brush you off
  • Your crush is mean to you but you still help them out when they need it
  • ETC.
I used to do a number of these things. I never realized how stupid I was being until after I got over my crush. I let my crush get a grip on me, and that was my problem that I created for myself. I set myself up and in the end came out destroyed, but I built myself back up and got a grip on reality. Once it sets in that a crush is not interested, don't try to change their minds because it'll get you no where.
I had a crush on a guy for almost 2 years that went...no where. I tried my hardest to prove to him that I liked him without telling him. He knew but did nothing about it. he rolled it off his back, I excepted that and tried to drop it but I did just the opposite and became so miserable over nothing. Here are some tips that might stop you from becoming heartbroken over your crush...
  • Try not to get to attached to your crush
  • Except the face that you have a 50/50 chance of rejection
  • Remind yourself that the person you are crushing over is gonna act up because since it's a crush he/she is not officially "with" you
  • Understand your crush's place in this situation
For the lucky people the crush might be crushing on them back. In this screw everything above this paragraph. You have a totally different situation. In this situation here's what I would do...
  • Be mysterious when it came to him
  • Be mature and play no games
  • converses with him daily to stay current in his life
  • try to keep things between me and him because extra people getting involved could cause some serious issues
  • try not to show him that I'm stuck on him even though I know I am
  • Be up front in certain situations with him (when those certain situations go into play, you'll know it)
I've heard stories about people being bold enough to tell their crush that they like them. I would give advice on this; I have no experience with this because I don't do that. I guess I could give tips on how to go about it.
  • Be calm
  • Don't be too excited because you're excitement could only last a second
  • Prepare for the worse so if something bad happens you'll take it better than normal
  • Gather your words before speaking to your crush

WHO DID I THINK I WAS?! LMFAO!!! I was in no position to give anybody any advice about anything...And those grammatical errors....omg. The sad part is...I have more of my middle school writing. I'll share them later.
I hope you enjoyed a nice laugh on this beautiful Sunday!
