Day 1/Reflection

My first ever blog post is here!!! I am so excited to embark on this journey. It comes to you live on the first day of the new year.

2014 has been interesting to say the least. My friend Jalisa and I did a survey to close out 2013 in preparation for 2014 and we are doing it again to close out 2014. It's a nice way to remember some of the best and worst parts of your year. 
P.S. It only LOOKS long :)

1.       What did you do in 2014 that you’d never done before?

• I took a road trip with friends (2x)
  
• Discovered parts of myself         

2.       Did you keep your new resolutions and will you make more for next year?

• I don't remember what they were so that's a big fat no and I have goals for this year. 

3.       Did anyone close to you give birth?

• Nope

4.       Did anyone close to you die?

• Ummm yes kind of

5.       What countries did you visit?

• None

6.       What would you like to have in 2015 that you lacked in 2014?

• Motivation, a license, insurance, clarity, resilience, and patience!!!!

7.       What dates from 2014 will remain etched in your memory and why?

• January 5 - death
• January 13 - funeral
• February 26 - submitted EdTpa
• May 4 - graduated
• May 5-11 DAYTONAAAAA!!!
• June 6-9- Michigan with family
• December 20- super cool family Christmas party with pimp Santa :P
• December 26- Aquarium!

8.       What was your biggest achievement of the year?

• Graduating from college.

9.       What was your biggest failure?

• Falling flat on my face after graduating.

10.   Did you suffer illness or injury?

• Pneumonia and my wisdom teeth have begun to come in :(

11.   What was the best thing you bought?

• Hmmm...I think it was this super awesome Coconut CoWash lol 

12.   Whose behavior merited celebration?

• One of my students who is now potty trained :D

13.   Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?

• My own.

14.   Where did most of your money go?

• To the effin government.

15.   What did you really really really get excited about?

• My best friend's visits.

17.   Did you make any new friendships?

• Yes, my friend from work. 

18.   Did you go on vacation?

• Yes, twice. I went to Daytona with my friends and had thee best time ever! I went to Michigan with my family and had thee best time ever, again lol

19.   What did you wish you had done more or less of?

• More planning and prepping for adulthood
• Less avoiding the bigger issues

20.   How did you spend the holidays?

• I spent Thanksgiving with my mom, sister, grandparents and my sister's bed! I spent Christmas with my mom and sister and high af off pain pills for my wisdom teeth lol

21.   What new food did you discover?

• I'm not as opposed to beans as I used to be...

22.   What was your favorite tv program?

• Scandal all day baby

23.   What was one of your favorite experiences of the year?

• The house party at the house my friend was house sitting. Hands down.

24.   What was the best book you read?

• Hmmm....toss up between The Hunger Games/Catching Fire and The 50 Shades of Grey Trilogy

25.   What was your greatest musical discovery?

• Maybe Trey Songz Inevitable EP, and Janine and The Mixtape

26.   What did you want and get?

• A nice place to live

27.   What did you want and not get?

• A salary

28.   What was your favorite film of this year?

• Toss up between Mockingjay and Frozen

29.   What did you do on your birthday and how old are you?

• I submitted edtpa and had a birthday party with a friend and a half

30.   What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?

• A salary

31.   How would you describe your personal fashion concepts in 2014?

• Wear what is clean 

32.   What kept you sane?

• Reading, Tej and Malls, Sleep... would be God but I didn't turn to Him enough.

33.   Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?

• My Boo Tremaine Neverson!!!

34.   What political issue stirred you the most?

• Let's not go there

35.   Who did you miss?

• I miss Billy James!! Haven't seen him since July.

36.   Who was the best new person you met?

• My students were all pretty good people to have met.

37.   Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2014?

• God gives His toughest battles to His strongest soldiers.
